Summary

Can she find happiness and love in the place she once only wanted to leave?

As the youngest Holley sister, Miriam has always been a bit of a rebel. After spending several years backpacking through Europe and Australia, she’s now back home...unemployed and pregnant, with no boyfriend or husband in sight.

At first, Miriam only wants to hide away from the shocked and prying eyes of her father’s parishioners, but her sisters won’t let her. Determined to help her find her way, they urge Miriam to accept a job working as an assistant to Simon, the new vicar...and to think about what will happen when the baby comes.

As Miriam starts putting down roots, she finds an unexpected friendship in her sister Rachel’s ex-fiancé, Dan Taylor. And as she thinks about her future, she finds hope and healing in the most unexpected places. But when the past rushes up to meet both her and Dan, can Miriam stay the course?

Cheerfully enjoyable

Thoroughly enjoyable story, predictable yes, but that doesn’t detract from this at all. Knowing the characters from the previous in the series it pans out very well. Only fly in the ointment is that oh so annoying Kes-Wick pronunciation

Good story

Well read.
Just wish that the narrator would learn proper pronunciation of place names. Throughout the 4 books Keswick has been pronounced with the W in the middle. Irritating if you know these places.

End of the saga

That the narrator has still not learnt how to pronounce Keswick is frustrating. But the story is lovely.

Just fabulous

I enjoyed every book in the series, all different, thought provoking, but happy endings. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely story

I love all the stories in this story - gentle stories about women and their relationships with each other and the men in their lives. BUT the constant mispronunciation of Keswick as KEZ-WICK rather than KEZZICK drove me mad!

Easy listening, great least book of the series

I grated my teeth everytime the reader said KesWick (way too often), the W is not pronounced. You'd think if you were going to narrate a 4 book series, you'd check how to say the place names!

Enjoyable story

Good story but I agree with others on the irritating KesWick pronunciation. Not as Americanised as the Cotswold series although i dont like the use of Foyer. Who in England has a Foyer! it's the hall a Foyer is public space in a hotel or theatre. Also lots of "come get" and "go see" etc it would be good if the auther had an English editor for her books!
