About this listen
Tour Manager and friend Johnny Green’s rip-roaring account from inside The Clash camp as they turned passion and guitars into songs that electrified a generation. An intimate and very funny listen.

A Riot of Our Own
Being of that era and that The Clash were my band and will always have a place in my life. It was great to hear from the inside. I too had a brief encounter with the band and with the close friends of friends but Johnny has the take on it all. Maybe slightly coloured in for reading listening value but a good book and Phil was a great storyteller.

Clash-Tastic!
For an ‘I was there as it happened’ account the audiobook is great. Phil Daniels narration is excellent too.
Lots of ‘behind the scenes’ stories covering Johnny Green and Garry Barkers’ time and exploits a roadies to The Clash. If you’re interested in The Clash and the back stories to recording ‘Give ‘Em Enough Rope’ and ‘London Calling’ plus the subsequent tours and gigs you’ll be enthralled.

Gret book about The Clash
loved this book; good honest story of what it was like to work with The Clash as the coal-face. Excellent narration

MAGNIFICENT 7 out of 5 😎😉
OUTSTANDING
That was the best music book I’ve heard/read .
Phil Daniels was great with the narration.
Normally you just get a band members story but this was inside the band looking out an outside looking in.
I’m gutted it’s finished .
