About this listen
A new life, a new country and a family with a tragic secret....
In 1962 Cindy drops out of college to impulsively marry an Australian grazier, moving from the glamorous world of Palm Springs, California, to an isolated sheep station on the sweeping plains of the Riverina in New South Wales.
Cindy's new life at Kingsley Downs station is not what she'd imagined, as she is flung into a strange and challenging world. Natural disasters and the caprices of the wool industry shape her destiny and though she tries hard to fit in, she finds she is always the outsider.
Adjusting to her new life, Cindy discovers that her new family comes with secrets and a mystery that haunts them all. When Cindy uncovers the shocking truth, the consequences lead to tragedy and Cindy must fight to save her family.

Another great narrative
I'm so glad it was a woman reading the story, it suits Di's books so much better.
As always the description of the land and the people are magnificent.
Despite the hardships it is still a feel good story and I was so disappointed it had finished.
Until the next one, thanks Di!

Good Holiday listen- Romantic With insight into Australian Sheep Station Life
Initially I thought I am not going to like this (recommended by a friend) but then I became captivated by the insights into both Australian and American lives set in mid last century.Well written not too deep and a good gentle read with some reality checks to keep you interested. Finished whole book and enjoyed. Good holiday read.
