The people of Requiem, an ancient kingdom, can grow wings and scales, breathe fire, and take flight as dragons. Their hearts are noble, their wisdom great, their kingdom a land of beauty and peace.

This peace will soon burn. From the south, a fire rises. Birds of flame take flight. The phoenixes soar, beasts of heat and wrath, large as dragons and cruel as wildfire. Their purpose is one: destroy the land of dragons.

Terrible narrator.

The story is entertaining, but I spent so much time shouting at the narrator that it was totally spoilt. You've lost any future sales with me.

Couldn't get past the narriator

The only reason I feel compelled to write a review is because Audible will not allow me to return this book. The narrator's accent is abysmal!!! The horrific intonation of an attempt at a British accent is laughable.
The story sounds fantastic but I will not be purchasing any more from the series as I cannot get past the awful narration.
Such a shame.
