An Invaluable Resource for Parents

As the mother of a child with speech delay, I was keen to get my hands on this book. It didn’t disappoint. The book clarified several concepts around speech and language and gave me several tools that I can implement immediately.

The book is informative throughout but I was particularly impacted by the chapter titled “Receptive and Expressive Language" which also explained language processing disorder and auditory processing disorders. The book has also restored my faith in the use of sign language.

If you are cocerned that your child is behind in their speech development, this book is a great place to start.

A great resource for parents

As a parent of a late talking child, I wish I'd found this book a few years back.
The author, a speech and language pathologist has given a lot of tips and strategies for helping children develop their early interaction skills.

The author has also discussed what professional support is out there for children when they have a speech and language delay or disorder.

This is a
really good resource for parents who are looking for advice which is easy to understand and follow at home to help the children.

Short and wonderful

This book is a wonderful resource for parents looking for guides on how to access the right assistance for their children. The book explores how parents can help their children learn to connect with the world, and with the people in their space. This is a parent's assurance that things are good, and that all the child needs is support and the right guidance. It's also a short read, but filled with gems that can easily be overlooked if one isn't paying attention. I enjoyed this one a lot.
