The second title in this breakout new detective series, from the author of the spine-tingling Scarlet and Ivy series.

Violet Veil is ready for her next big case and with trouble afoot at the Grecian Theatre, Violet and her dog Bones are hot on the trail. But just who is the mysterious fortune-teller, Lady Athena, whose predictions keep coming true? Is it all just a case of smoke and mirrors? Or is there something more sinister going on…?

Such a good story !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Violet veil on another mystery this time at a spectacular theatre. A fortune teller,a locket coming back from beneath the grave, and another murder. Is lady Athena (the fortune teller) a fraud? If so who is caring out her prophecy’s? And can violet veil avoid getting into to much and come home before night fall? We will see in violet veils next adventure. It was so good I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. So many twists and turns and friendship trouble. A great balance. Amazing narration .

Great story, wish they kept the same narrator...

Sophie Cleverly is a super talented writer, no doubt. The narrator of this 2nd book sounds a bit robotic at times and I just didn't find it as enjoyable as the first book due to this reason. The story just didn't flow easily because of the way it was narrated. I bought the Kindle version instead and returned the audible version. I still like the first book in the series - that one had a way better narrator.
