Summary
From the moment Alexei Miles sets eyes on the kickboxing instructor at his new gym, he's enthralled. She's strong and sexy, and he senses something in her that speaks to his deepest desires. Cracking short story with great characters.

I really enjoyed this. Unlike most of the BDSM-themed erotic romance I’ve read (or listened to), this is as much about the budding relationship as the steamy scenes. It came across as pretty true-to-life to me. It’s set in the UK, but not in London, with two characters who tell us their story in alternate chapters. Both are hesitant about starting a new relationship due to concern that the other doesn’t share their kinky tastes. I don’t think I’m giving much away by hinting that their anxieties are unfounded...
The audible audiobook brought it to life, as the narrator has a regional accent (from the Liverpool area, I suspect), and not only gave Alexei and Zoe distinct voices and accents, but showed their personalities.
My only criticism of her performance is that it seemed a little rushed at times, and I’d have liked a slightly longer pause between sentences.
