Summary
Sometimes you fall for Mr. Right, and sometimes for Mr. Right Now....
May:
Did you hear the one about the girl who walks into a bar and catches her live-in lover kissing someone else? No? You’re the only one in town who missed it. Luckily Alec is there to wrap me up in strong arms and carry me out the door before things get too ugly. And that’s not all Alec is good at. Our unexpected chemistry makes him the perfect rebound guy.
Alec:
I should know better than to hook up with my rival’s little sister, but the fiery look in May’s eyes really turns my crank. She needs cheering up, and I’m just the guy for the job. It’s not like I’ll fall in love. Not even after a string of scorching hot trysts and the realization that we’re good at the same things: wild nights and familial disappointment. I don’t do love; never have, never will. So this is the perfect arrangement for both of us. Nobody would approve, but nobody has to know....

Love theses stories and the family but hated the male narrator, he just didn’t do it for me, To monotone sorry Lance. As l like the characters and Sarina’s writing I saw it through to the end.

Brilliant Story
BRILLIANT !! What a fabulous story and another 5 star book from Sarina Bowen. It has all the steam, all the emotion and funny moments too all the right ingredients for a compelling romance. I was very intrigued how this story would play out, because in the previous books May was so adament that even though she was Biosexual she truly believed that she would only see herself with women. So Alec completely blindsides her with his charm and wit and easy friendship he spoils all her plans. May Shipley is a lawyer and a recovering alcoholic..she started using Alcohol to numb a painful relationship when she was in college, but when the relationship ends she didn't end the drinking. But she is working hard everyday to stay sober..she never imagined she would be friends with a man who owns a bar and is a Rossi.. Alec Rossi bar owner and playboy he loved playing the field owning a bar made it easy for him to turn on the charm and have any woman he wants. He was fun and his uncles never take him seriously and he was set to prove him wrong.. One night changes both of their lives forever...the night May Shipley walked into his bar and catches her girlfriend Daniella cheating on her with her ex.. Alec swoops in and stops May from starting a fight,he takes her out of the bar and helps her move back to her parents house. That night sets in motion events that has them both having a friendship and a mutual attraction..the chemistry between them is electric !!..It takes them both by surprise especially May but she can't seem to resist Alec's touches and kisses..But she does not want her family to know about their trysts and so they embark on a casual just sex secret relationship...The steamy scenes are so so Hot. This book is so Amazing I totally fell for Alec he was not what I expected him to be..He wasn't the cocky playboy I thought he was..He fell first and was so sweet, understanding and patient with May. May was stronger than her family believed she was..You have to be a strong person to be able to fight the cravings of an addiction every day.But her family treat her like glass and drive her crazy because of it.Alec treats he like a human being like an equal..but he thinks she is just a bit of fun he doesn't see the woman who is struggling every day to fight her alcoholic addiction. But Alec wants to understand and he does everything he can to make her realise that what hey have together is more than sex...that it could be something really incredible. I Loved this story the evolution of both characters was so striking and I adored how it all worked out with their relaionship and with Alec's buisness ventures.. I also love that Griffin eventually came around and the rift between the families seemed to disintegrate. The Narration of this story by Seraphine Valentine and Lance Greenfield is EXCELLENT I loved listening to their voices as they played all the parts of the characters in this book. They were so easy to listen to and made you get lost within the story. Sarina Bowen's writing gets better and better and I am loving the way she writes her books with so much detail and passion. Speakeasy is an incredible book that I highly recommend. 5 Stars.

Great addition to the series
I enjoyed listening to this. I liked the characters, but didn’t love them as much as other books which is why I rated it as 4*.

Hay-mish not Hammish
Super story. Just one major exasperating point, the name Hamish is Scots Gaelic and pronounced Hay-mish not Hsmmish. It is the Gaelic version of James. I know many men called Hamish[ Hay-mish] and none called Hammish. It totally spoiled the book for me, I will not listen to it again, I'll just stick to the kindle version. Disappointing. A little research woulkd have solved this easily.
