About this listen
Now an Amazon Top 40 Best Seller
He was my foster brother.
He swore to protect me.
He failed.
They all failed.
I’m an open box of passé photographs, snapped in chaste daylight, but filtered in sepia. I’m the past that he tried to forget, and he was the future I needed. When he left four years ago, I screamed for him every night. But then it all stopped. My screams were suddenly muffled by cruelty, and further coaxed by pain.
But he has come back. He’s not the cute big brother I had a furtive crush on, or the bad-boy rich brat that I hated to love.
He’s the ruthless vice president of Wolf Pack MC, and he doesn’t answer to Royce Kane anymore.
He answers to Sicko.

Loved it!
This is my first Amo Jones book but she is often recommended in various dark romance groups so I was very familiar with the name, but I have a huge backlog of books to listen to and just haven't gotten to one of hers yet. Well, today I did, and now I wish I hadn't waited so long to listen to one. I chose Sicko first as the cover and the name of the book just drew me in so this became my first Amo book.
I was a little concerned it would be a pitch black story and more than I could handle but I was 2.5 hours in and it was still fairly light. I was starting to think I might have been misled but then the darkness came slithering in, slow at first, until it got darker and darker. It wasn't pitch black but it's definitely not a story for everyone. I loved it, though, and have now found a new author to stalk.
Sicko was intense with dark and creepy characters and a storyline that was full of twists and turns. It kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. I would highly recommend this story to any dark/forbidden/taboo romance fans. You won't be disappointed.
Sarah Puckett is a favorite narrator of mine. She always does an amazing job with both male and female characters. Matt Haynes is new to me, and although his part was much smaller, he also did a great job with his dual narration. Both really brought this story to life for me.

A Wild and Twisted Ride....
Having never experienced an Amo Jones book before, I was super excited to dive into this one, and with a name like Sicko, how can you not be intrigued? I don't do blurbs, so when I went in blind I was definitely hooked from early on with the story line and curious as to where things were going to go.
Royce and Jade had such a strong bond even from a young age, when Jade entered Royce's life as a foster sister. He was fiercely protective and caring and his friends took her in and treated her as if she was their sister too....until everything changed when Jade was 15 and Royce just up and disappeared leaving Jade heartbroken. Royce's departure from Jade's life unknowingly started another chain of events that would irreparably change her life forever.
This book had a lot of moving parts and a lot of characters, some of which came to light more so at the end of the book. I really loved Wicked. I definitely think he was a huge highlight of the book, and I would love to read more about him. I did overall enjoy Royce/Sicko and Jade as the main characters though I did question some of their actions at times. I did find the big part of the book easy to figure out but it did not take away from the enjoyment of listening to the story. I did feel like A LOT happened at the end of the book (last hour or so), almost a bit too much. I definitely think the premise of the story was very interesting and I did overall really enjoy the characters and the narration was absolutely fantastic!!! Overall I would definitely recommend this as it was an entertaining listen.
Narration by Sarah Puckett and Matt Haynes was absolutely on point. Sarah Puckett is truly one of the best female narrators out there as she can do both female and male parts equally well, which makes listening a truly great experience. Matt Haynes is a new narrator for me, but I think he did a great job overall and I look forward to listening to more of his work in the future. #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock

Dark Taboo Motorcycle Club Romance
Sicko by Amo Jones is a dark taboo motorcycle club romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett and Matt Haynes.
This is the first book of Amo's that I have read and it won't be last. I was pulled into the book and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. The chemistry between Royce and Jade is off the charts. Their relationship is messy, but you couldn't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
Sarah and Matt did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, taboo romances, motorcycle club romances, or romantic suspense.

Duchess & Sicko
I picked this up once some time ago and maybe it wasn't the right time for it. So when the opportunity to give it ago again came, I took the plunge. It’s one of those books that are always rec’d and that can go either way.
Jade and Royce, foster siblings, who became very close when they were children. Royce is sent away. Jade needs to get through life without him.
Sicko is the one who returns. And that’s when things heat up all around.
If you’re looking for a raunchy MC story with dark components, this one's for you.

Dark, Twisted & Breathtaking
Sicko is the very definition of dark romance. Amo Jones is a genius; she has weaved an intricate and tightly-knit web filled with dark, intimate, twisted, and dangerous corners. Before going into this book and based on the few reviews I had read, my expectations were pretty high. Once I started listing, I was totally blown away by the sophistication of the character and plot development. Royce (aka Sicko) is the strong silent type, complex, dominant, enigmatic, subtle, and totally protective of Jade. Jade is strong-willed, determined, well-rounded, and independent; I thought she was absolutely amazing.
Their backstory, connection, attraction, and bond was pretty solid, and their love for one another is endless. Their story is captivating, raw, gut-wrenching, emotional, unpredictable, angsty, passionate, hot, and utterly gratifying. I loved the intensity; while listening, my heart pounded with excitement and anticipation, wondering what was coming next. There were some very appealing and fascinating secondary characters, and I'm really looking forward to more of the Wolfpack MC.
Exceptional narration by Sarah Puckett and Matt Haynes. Their portrayal of the characters was immaculate, capturing the very essence of Sicko and Jade, breathing life into them. Puckett and Haynes definitely made the story even more engaging. Overall, Sicko was a breathtaking, sensual, and intense ride. A fantastic listen and brilliantly written dark MC romance with triggers for some, and one I'll highly recommend.

WOW
I loved the dual narration of Sarah Puckett and Matt Haynes, just brilliant.
Sweet Lord this book pulled at all my emotions and then pulled even more. This is the story of Jade and her foster/adopted brother Royce.
Royce has been her overbearing protector, even his best friends have taken Jade underneath their wings, like most big brothers are of their little sisters. One day Royce just leaves and he and Jade do not meet again for four years.
Jade has grown a hard shell. Jade is going through her own private hell. She and her best friend Sloane are attending the same university, it happens to be in Royce's town. And he's also changed. Now answers to the road name of Sicko, V.P of the Wolfpack MC.
Loads of twists and turns, kept me definitely on my toes
I got so angry , and wanted to shout . Oh James , so wanted to push him off a cliff. This book does not hid that there are so many sick and evil human beings are out there.

Unexpected
I have always been cautious when seeing this author’s works… But man I was hooked with this one. From the start to the end 😊
The relationship between Royce and Jade was outstanding. Royce has been everything to Jade. Her protector, her confidant and her secret crush. Just when she thought there could be more between them, he disappears. And she is left in her own sort of hell.
Its been four years since Royce has left. He didn’t just leave his home, his family he left her. Jade is going through something unimaginable. Something that nobody knows about. And she is suffering while putting up a front of having a ‘nothing matters to me’ attitude. And then he just walks right back into her life. His no longer the boy she knew. He is so much darker now and on top of it he is the VP of an MC. And for some reason he cant stand her…
The chemistry between these two are off the charts. My heart was just so sore for Jade. And what she had to endure. But the relationship she and Royce had was so explosive. Like at any moment it was going to explode. Both of them have their own secrets, but they also cant deny their attraction to each other either. This was an emotional, angst filled, don’t know whats going to happen next kind of read for me. And I was hooked.
The narrator for this series wasn’t too bad. I have done audio’s by Sarah before. Was my first one with Matt Haynes though was okay maybe I wanted a more deeper voice, but I still enjoyed the audio 😊 I will definitely do another book by this author again 😊

Dark Taboo Romance
I've been eagerly wanting to read this, and with a title like Sicko I was expecting it to get pretty dark. Unfortunately, it didn't give me the level of darkness I was hoping for. Don't get me wrong, it's dark and definitely has it's moments but it was actually quite predictable.
I did like that there were twists and suspense, it would have been better if I hadn't known where it was going. Another downside is that Wicked really outshines Sicko, I was really intrigued by him but never connected to Sicko. Parts of the story were rather far fetched and some things seemed to have been brought up once and never again when they felt like they should have. I kept waiting for explanations that never came.
The narration by Sarah Puckett and Matt Haynes. They both delivered great performances and complimented each other well.

This book is just wow. I have a huge lawn 5 acres, I have never been so happy to mow it before in my life but it meant I got to spend a few hours hiding from my family and spending time with Royce and Jade. Who are in my top 10 of favourite characters ever. What they went through to finally find both themselves and a way back to each other was amazing and the suspense raised through the twists and turns in this book made it intense.
The narration for me just added so much more depth it really drive home the emotions that the characters were experiencing and made it that much more real. This book is well worth a credit or even buying outright it was brilliant

I don't know how I keep getting my expectations blown out the water every time I pick up a book by the genius that is Amo Jones. How she weaves her magic which leaves me breathless with every turn of the page. She done did it again with this tale of what I can only say is two soulmates. Royce and Jade..I can't even with how much I enjoyed them and basically anything i say will be a spoiler and I don't do those here.
If you like your romance gritty and dark and twisted and with a MC bite, then make sure you pick up this gem. You wont regret it.
