From completely different worlds, all the things that should separate them only draw them closer.

Amazing beginning ~ a bit like poetry
This book is shorter than the next two and it was a quick insight of what is to come. Their connection is so beautiful and profound. I am dying to see how things will go forward in the next 2 books.
This is on ku, but is also on catalogue plus from Audible uk and I will literally listen to anything Jakobi Diem narrates. His voice is so amazing I would listen to him reading one of those old phone books 😂. Maxine Mitchel was also really good.

The MMC
I absolutely loved this book. I loved how the author included the stereotypes of different races and address the differences between the cultures and how differently people are raised.
Grip and Bristol meet when the former has to puck her up from the airport. The sister of his best friend who emnciapted himself 5 years ago, and who she hasn't seen since the day he left without saying goodbye.
After an awkward encounter with a 'can't take no for an answer.' man, Grip waves him off with insignifance and Grip and Bristol begin to get to know each other.
Warned off by both her brother and their friends, Bristol can't help but imagine what it would be like to jump Grip's bones until one fateful night atop a wheel at a carnival she gets the chance to feel his lips on hers.
heading back to school a few days later, after promising that she is different for him, Bristol finds herself in the middle of Grip and his ex's (or girlfriend) drama and flees without a second thought.
This is the prequel to the next book and I can't wait to read it!

hmmmmm
I love dual audio, however, I am not a fan of the male narrator saying the female's lines and vice versa. its really off putting. I'm guessing its a cost thing that all lines can't each be read by the respective narrators. Also, the female narrator sounds at least 10 years older than the part she is reading.... Its an excellent story tho...

First time reading Kennedy Ryan and what a great start to this trilogy. Really loving Kennedy’s writing, it’s flows (see what I did there lol) really well and I will definitely continue on with Bristol and Grips story. I feel it’s gonna be quite epic and heartbreaking at times.
