About this listen

Down on her luck, Boadicea McGee is desperate for a job.

Bills to pay, a roof to keep over her head, and vultures for parents leave her with few options. When her best friend offers her a dream opportunity, she has to weigh dreams against survival and her own morals. The pay is good, the people are nice...but working in a BDSM club just isn't her thing.

Angry, repressed, Bodie is afraid of who she'll become in that environment, especially when one man in particular gets under her skin.

Are all her secrets safe?

Braun Fitzpatrick isn't a fool. He knows Boadicea's special when she walks into his club. She offers him the perfect challenge, the chance to chip through the walls the fiery little female has built around her. Undeterred by her bark or her bite, Braun is content to guide her through the labyrinth of self-discovery.

When danger strikes and the music stops, will Bodie still dance for him?

Braun is the owner of Avalon and her friend Liam’s boss, After some disagreements she agrees to to dance at the club. Bodie and Braun spends a week, where he teachers her how to be the submissive, and being counselled through her trauma by Mistress, Going home she is viciously attacked by her parents and left for dead. Great potential

Was a nice book but wasn’t keen on the wooden performances . Story line was quite shallow and very predictable almost painfully childish at times but bearable .

Fantastic Story & Narration🎧 Emotionally Gripping

I am new to Kay Elle Parker’s books and consider me wowed, she has some impressive writing skills and ability to draw her readers into the story and world she created and keep them there the entire time. This book grabs you like no other, the emotions pour off the pages and straight into your heart, making you feel everything the characters are feeling. Boadicea “Bodie” McGee has not had the best of lives, her parents are abusive and manipulative outlaws and they treat her like garbage. The only good thing in her life is her best friend, Liam, who works at Avalon, a BDSM club. He knows she is down on her luck and looking for a job, he offers her a job, dancing, something she loves to do. She is just intimidated by BDSM and does not know how she could handle the scene and when he throws her past in her face, she gets angry with him and leaves. She had not known that she caught Braun Fitzpatrick, the owner of the club’s attention. He sees something in her and despite her reluctance to work in the club and resistance to BDSM, he is going to make her rethink that and to see something about herself that she does not see. Besides introducing her to a whole new world, he wants her to open her mind and her heart to him. Then her worst nightmare happens and we witness how brutal her mother and father could be. Bodie is a fighter and a survivor, but can she survive what happened to her? Braun watched her grow and build herself up, how much will this set her back? This book puts your heart thru the wringer, but in the end it is all worth it. It is a wonderfully plotted story with plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions, thrilling and suspenseful moments, some great BDSM scenes, and a wonderful romance. Kay Elle Parker, thank you for this great story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Kay Elle Parker chose the perfect cast to bring her characters and story to life. Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St. Claire are talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They have a complete understanding of the characters they are portraying, giving each a voice that suits their character’s persona and are believable in every role they play. They set the perfect tone for the story, capture all the character’s emotions and project them into their performance and have you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to, and their narration enhances an already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another fantastic listen.

Braun and Bodie

Great performances as usual from Gunnar & Jenna. I’ve re read Avalon series many times so thought I’d try audiobooks in order. Didn’t think I could handle Bodi’s story being narrated due to so much trauma but it really grabs ur heart strings.

Ps the sexy Irish twang is yummmmmm.
