About this listen
A love triangle made legend... A chance to rewrite the stars.
Lancelot
I spent my life in service to my king, loyal to my queen, and loved by them both. Until she ruined me.
Guinevere made her choice, and it wasn’t me. So, I sought out a way to fight the pain of losing her...of losing them both. Eternally languishing in purgatory was not what I had in mind.
But now, hundreds of years later, I’ve been returned to life for a reason. The end times are here, and I’m the one chosen to help stop the apocalypse. I only wish the woman I’m bound to wasn’t the very one I’d tried to forget.
My Gwen had a secret she never shared in our past life together. She’s a witch, cursed to live forever, and she’s never forgiven me for what happened between us.
I am Lancelot du Lac. I was her champion once, I will be again, and this time, I won’t so willingly share.
Brooks
I never wanted to share Gwen, not with anyone, and definitely not with Lancelot. But now that he’s gone and the truth about my past has been revealed, everything is different.
I used to be a king. I lived my life shrouded by a lie. Afraid to take the love I desperately wanted - love from my queen as well as my knight. That fear is the reason I lost both of them. This is my second chance to be the man Gwen needs, to take up Excalibur and stop the apocalypse, and to finally accept who I truly am.
I am Arthur Pendragon, at least, I was. In our past, I broke both Gwen and Lancelot. But this time, I’ll be the hero they each deserve.

Just what I needed
I have been itching to get to Gwen’s story since I made the link to who she was in Izzy’s book. I can understand why this was saved till last and why it’s over two books. Her story is one of past lives come to modern times. I love how Kim Loraine manages to infuse the characters with detailed and painful backstories that play such an integral part of their present day trials.
Guinevere and Lancelot are reunited. But nothing is as it seems. This book has a wonderful second chance, enemies to lovers feel and embarking on their journey of understanding and falling back in love was just brilliant. Add in adjusting Lance to the modern world, and it brought many a smile to my face.
Then Brooks joins and makes this a true story of love, heartache, and acceptance. It was beautiful to go through the array of emotions with each character.
I loved the build up of this story, how they didn’t just dive back in but let the feelings and tension build. And then, when you think everything is going to work out, twists happen, leaving you unsure what is going to happen next. The end will leave you swooning with happiness.
Kylie Stewart and Shane East perform this story in duet, and it was brilliant. I loved how Shane voiced Lance. Really giving us a feel of an out of time person adjusting to a new world. Someone who loves deeply but holds a ton of hurt. Then, add in Brooks, and we get a full workout of Shane skills. Both are voiced so uniquely that it was obvious who was who. I really enjoyed Kylie Stewart in this book, the way she chose to perform Gwen, a woman struggling with her feelings and memories was wonderful. They kept me enthralled for the entire book.
The bonus novella for Gabriel and Ruby was performed brilliantly by Jacob Morgan and Erin Mallon. It was short and sweet. Leaving me itching for more of their story. Grabby hands at the ready.

New Take on Excalibur
Broken Sword by Kim Loraine pulled me in immediately. I loved how the author tied the Siren's to Excalibur. She writes a very steamy story that is full of unexpected. The imagery is vibrant and paints such clear pictures in my mind. The narration of this duet is top notch! All of the narrators add so much to the book. The emotions conveyed were tangible. This was a new take on Excalibur that I never imagined before. The bonus short story in this listen was so good too!

Amazing Duet!
Kim Loraine continues to surprise me with every book she releases. Each with its own special something keeps me coming back to her writing. Wicked Temptation in particular had me gripped through the entire story. A continuation of the Siren series, it gives us Gwen, the third Siren. As I was listening to the twist on King Arthur’s story, I was sure I was going to figure out who Gwen would end up with. This paranormal gem has me still guessing. Lancelot, Arthur and Gwen have a love triangle that just don’t give an inch. And do I have my suspicions on the outcome.
Camelot is a time that intrigues me and listening to Immortal Flame had me captivated. The addition of witches, angels and Nephilim gives this old myth new life. Brooks and Gwen are on a quest to find Lancelot and save the world. But will they find him in time? This is a magical love story with twists and turns, passionate scenes and one chance to save the world. Bringing in the Sirens to cohesively meld the series gives us the familiarity I love and adds another layer of depth to this incredible duet.
The addition of a bonus chapter in the duet ties this it all together. We get a glimpse at the future of this menage with their child. Loraine has warmed my heart with Galahad and the love Brookes and Lancelot share. Their love for each other and Gwen make this a version I love and will revisit.
The talents of Kylie Stewart and Shane East finish out this series with a fantastic narration. Stewart plays the strong woman so well that the character of Gwen was made for her. She finds her inner strength and flows through the story showing her true love and passion for her two men. East finds the voices of the Lancelot and Brooks giving each their own special sound. We can hear the desperation and ferocity in Brooks while he is proving himself and the love that Lancelot holds for both. This is a phenomenal team and they give a phenomenal performance.
And a surprise at the end of this is the best! A look at Gabriel as he finds the woman he can't resist. But will he give in and leave his archangel powers behind? It's a fantastic novella dually narrated by Erin Mallon and Zachary Webber. Throughout all of the Watcher and Siren books, Gabriel has been the standout and I couldn't wait to hear more about him. This just whets my appetite for more!
