About this listen
When he agreed to take the fall for his pack leader's failed attempts to help the Rebellion, Jace knew he wouldn't live long enough to regret it. However, instead of the noble end he envisioned for himself, the werewolf finds himself at the mercy of a witch and his depraved games. How long can he cling to his pride and conviction that he can withstand anything his controlling new master can dish out?
Now that supernatural beings have seized control of the world, life has become a struggle for the humans who once held power. Witches, vampires, and werewolves determine the fate of every single human, but their moral compasses have long since been shattered. Rebels, free humans, and slaves all share dreams of hope, mercy, love, and more. But with their fate so uncertain, survival isn't enough... and they may have to sacrifice what is nearest and dearest to them if they want to change their lives.
Bought, Ravel, and Recoil feature different characters whose lives begin to come together in Owned and Temper. This dystopian series explores different aspects of the world, from utter darkness to the shining lights waiting to emerge. Because of this, the books range from dark erotica to romance to horror to action(ish) to bits of other things in between.

Dark Domination
I have owned Bought for a while, but haven't got round to reading it. Then I got a copy of the audio book and listened instead. I didn't know what I was missing. I know from reading others of her books that the author puts together a well crafted story, and this is no different.
Jack Noble narrates the story in such a way that someone who has lost quite a bit of her hearing has no problem at all in following it. Every word is clear, so carefully enunciated. If I'm being fussy, I would maybe have liked a little more expression at times.
Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed Elias Ivers' dark domination of poor Jace and can't wait to meet them again in Book 4.

Like it
New to me author and I have to say the story does not disappoint am looking forward to book 2 Ravel.
If you like a dark twisted storyline then this is for you.
The narrator is English and whilst he sounds good he needs to inject a touch more passion to his words.

A dark and gritty supernatural future
Ok, if I count the intro novella, Asymmetry, as being tickled with a feather, this was like a full-on rugby tackle! This is a dark and gritty tale set in a world with a vampire who dominates absolutely, and a werewolf sold to be his slave/whatever-he-wants-him-to-be. The world building is good, both in backstory and in the characters actions, and although it has a bleak outlook I want to know more. Solid 3 stars.
The narration is hard to review. Jack Noble’s voice is to die for - beautiful accent and tone, but the pacing was way too slow. I listened on x1.25 and there were still long pauses between words and sentences - there were only small section of the dialogue that sounded natural, where words bled together as they would in a natural conversation, but the remaining dialogue was rather robotic, with each word articulated in full, and when listening on headphones you could hear the switches between dead air and recording. BUT... his voice was to die for! So, 5 for the voice/1 for the editing, 3 overall.

as good as the ebook
The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.
The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!
To my ratings:
5* - very very good
it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A
3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

📚📚📚 Story
Read at 1.25 spread on Audible.
I have to say that this narration seemed echoey and a little wooden. IMO. The story was short and I found it difficult to get into. But I persevered and listened till the end. I do feel that my love of the book was hindered by the narration. I just didn't feel it.

Good first book
I enjoyed this book even though I started it thinking I wouldn’t, but wanted to read and listen to something different.
The story although dark wasn’t as nightmarish as I feared.
Jace is a wearwolf who is sold to a witch Elias, who keeps him as his pet (slave) both characters were believable and I actually want to read book 4 were they apparently appear again, but willow onto book 2 instead!!!
The narrator was good but slightly annoying as he over pronounced each word, and as I read and listen I got annoyed as every page he either missed a word or misread a sentences. However this didn’t distract to much from the overall story thankfully
