Summary
One night changed everything....
Daphne’s a beauty who doesn’t know it. A wallflower blossoming into the belle of the ball. A beautiful lie. My lifelong obsession. Her father stole from me and now I’ll have my revenge.
I’ll steal her away, take her to my castle. Lock her in my tower. Make her a captive to her passions. She’ll crave the one who keeps her. She’ll crave me. I’m the masked phantom in the shadows. The Minotaur in the labyrinth. The danger her father warned her about. More monster than man.
She’s Beauty, and I’m the Beast.
Note: This is a dark romance. It is the first in a trilogy.

Hot, Dominant Beast
This book has it all to be a great read: criminal mystery, hot sex scenes BDSM style and a hot alpha scarred man. But if you hate Stockholm syndrome, then this book is NOT for you.

Good modern take on the classic story
Would recommend this book to anyone who likes dark romance books. This is a modern take on the original beauty and the beast story. Daphne is a lonely scientist trying to find a cure for the disease that killed her mother. She is at an annual fundraiser for her lab when she is propositioned to meet a secret admirer who has been sending her roses. She goes to meet them but she has been drugged, she then wakes up in a strangers castle. The characters of Daphne and Logan are interesting and you can tell Adam is not all he seems and that her father has been lying to her for years. The story has lots of twists and the dynamic of Dom and Sub is exciting and well written but their chemistry and feelings for each other are more powerful. The voice acting was high quality too. There is a cliffhanger though so be prepared.

Sinfully seductive romance!!
This is phenomenal and has a lot of twists and turns throughout. It is packed with adventure, suspense, intrigue, murder, mystery and romance. The story has a lot of colorful and unique characters. This is another fabulous story by Kathleen Brooks. I can’t get enough of her stories.
The narrator does a fantastic job with the characters and voices of each character making it easy to distinguish between the characters. He has the right amount of emotions. He also does both female and male voices and does them well.
I have read some of her books before and I definitely recommend this book!

Fabulous
What a fabulously dark and entertaining story, it’s twisted and fun and the perfect book to curl up with and ignore the outside world for the day.

This is a great modern take on a classic fairytale
This book is a modern take of the classic fairytale. It’s written very well. The characters are brilliant. I love the innocence of the leading lady. I can’t wait for the next book to see what happens next. Great narration, Kelsey has a beautiful tone to her voice that is perfect.

Modern twist on Beauty and the Beast
Written as a trilogy with cliffhangers, a modern twist on Beauty and the Beast
.......One night changed everything.... Daphne’s a beauty who doesn’t know it. A wallflower blossoming into the belle of the ball....
The books are difficult to put down and are devoured but this review is about the narration
This is has two narrators and they do a great job in the story telling. Brian Kelsey-Ann O'Dowd. Brian growls through the book as intended but Ann’s abilities let her carry all the characters and the lion share of the story telling
The books are good, and although I thought Brian over growl-ly, this was a great ‘listen’
