About this listen
My father's best friend is everything I’m not supposed to want. But now he is going to be my baby's daddy....
Ash is a walking red flag. He is domineering and always in a bad mood. Tragically widowed, yet still in love with his long-dead wife, a single dad to three mini versions of himself, and much too old for me.
But I’ve wanted him since I was 16. Seeing him again more than a decade later, all those old feelings just rush back in. Every time when I look up into his deep green eyes, dark scruffy beard, and kissable dimples, all I want is to fall into his arms and never leave.
Too much wine and one bed-rocking night later, everything changed.
When my dad discovers I’m knocked up by his best friend, I may lose the two most important people in my life....
Baby for Daddy's Best Friend is an age gap surprise pregnancy billionaire romance. It will keep you hooked until the very end. No cheating, no cliffhangers, HEA guaranteed! It is a complete standalone and the first book in The Hawthorns series.

Emotion filled
I've read all the books in this series and the narrators did a fantastic job of capturing and keeping my attention, they really brought the story to life!!! Rye and Ashton's story is full of secrets, intense chemistry, inner turmoils, family, laughter and so much more. I can't wait to hear the rest of the series, hopefully it's the same narrators as they were fabulous!!!

Wonderfully Done
I probably wouldn't have selected this story if it weren't on audiobook, because honestly there are a LOT of this specific story troupe out there, and it's hard to pick one that's worth the time. This one is DEFINITELY worth the time. It was so very well-written, emotional, complex, but sweet and not really complicated despite the best intentions of all the characters. Ash needed a lot of internal work, and he made mistakes for sure, but it all made so much sense that it was hard to stay mad at him, and Rye did just that (a bit tooooo easily perhaps, but that may just be a me issue). I love how the author handled the losses these people had experienced, and allowed everyone to feel the things they felt without melodrama, and how everyone was so supportive and loving of one another. I also love how Rye was a fully grown woman, not a barely adult teen with zero life experience. Also, am I the only hoping that the trouple situation is a real thing, or that Dara will be showing up woo Oliver, or that Juniper will be Jared's HEA? Just me? Maybe?
The narration was also excellent; and whether you read this as an ebook, or get it on audio, it's worth the investment. I thought it was wonderfully done.

surprise
Amazing dual narration from Melissa Connell and Scott R. Smith, just perfect. Both brought the humour, angst, heat and romance.
Ash is a widower of ten years who has three grown son. Ash has never got over or forgotten over the death of his wife Rose. Rye is the daughter of his best friend. Last time Ash saw Rye she was twenty, she is now twenty nine and has had a crush on Ash since she was sixteen. When Rye’s father gets married, she is asked to help plan the event along with his best friend Ash. When Ash sees Rye he can not believe how she makes him feel and awakens feelings he thought had gone. The sparks fly, they are slow to act on them. her being his best friends daughter and Rye knows this would change her father's friendship.
With the heat coming between them. It not long before they cannot keep their hand off each other. Oh the heat. When Rye becomes pregnant and tells Ash and he does not take it well at all. He is not sure how to feel and Rye decides that she can no longer stay and leaves the day after the wedding.
It is when Ash talks to his sons, he realised that he loves Rye. Now he needs to fight to get her back.
This book has humour, romance, angst, family, and the right amount of heat.

Love the Hawthorns
I adore the Hawthorn family! I hope that there are a thousand more books about them. The family is so sweet, and I love the relationships between them all. Ash and Rye are couple goals! The chemistry between them is off the scale! Heartwarming, passionate, and heartbreaking all at the same time. Love the pregnancy storyline in this book. I really hope there is more to come. I will read the rest of the series, and my fingers are crossed that there will be many more books to come! It's definitely worth the read 😍 I have honestly loved all of Callie Stevens books x

I Loved It!
This is Rye and Ash's story and let me tell you I loved it, it's one of the best age gap stories I've read or listened to in quite some time. It tells how they became close whilst helping to plan her widowed father's wedding. They'd known each other for some time, in fact, she'd had a crush on her father's best friend since she was 16, longer than she cares to think about but never expected Ash, a widower who blames himself for his wife's death in an auto accident, to ever look at her.
Working together they become close, really close and Rye discovers that she's pregnant but worries about how Ash will react when she tells him. There's also the worry about how her father will take the news!
The narration is excellent by Melissa Connell and Scott R. Smith they really brought the story to life for me.
