About this listen
What happens when you fall for the sworn enemies of your family?
I'm kidnapped by the Tailors, a rival gang that wants my entire family wiped off the face of the earth. After spending a couple of weeks experiencing hospitality in the Tailors very own dungeon, I'm really regretting my life choices up to this point.
Then in walks a tall stranger, with bright hazel eyes, and something in me stirs, growing stronger as I meet each of the Tailor boys.
Aeron, the heir to the Tailor name and a dark devil.
Jude, second in line and mad as a box of frogs but sexy as f*ck.
Knox, tall glass of water with the need to rescue and protect.
Tarl, the Tailor Inquisitor with mismatched eyes, but a healer at heart.
I don't stand a chance against their soothing touches and possessive affections. We fall hard and fast, but like most dreams, eventually you have to wake up.
I just hope that they can forgive me for what I'm about to do.
Addicted to the Pain is the first book in a dark contemporary romance duet, where love is love and our girl (and guys) end up with more than one love interest. Swords will cross.
Be warned, love hurts.

Tantalising listen...
All these voices evoked so many emotions in this dark why choose romance.
The darkness starts right from the beginning with Lark as captive and the Taylor boys the captors. A delicious "Stockholm" happens between these broken characters, and these narrators made these characters tangible. The emotions, suspense, trauma, and tradegy were vivid and mesmerising. Rosa Lee casted the best voice choices for the Taylor boys, and I already purchased book 2. Listening to these characters after reading The books was a fulfilling experience I recommend to all.

Great actors but not even them could save this book.
The only reason I give it 2 stars is for the audiobook cast, but not even them could save this book because the story was apalling. Stockholm syndrome at it's finest and not even done in a believable way. Less than 20 pages after they tell her you're ours, we'll protect you, bla bla bla, they are torturing her for information, telling her that one of them pulled the trigger on her mother and unleashed the events that made her life a living hell, and she forgives them just like that after a good f*ck. Yep, that's the whole book.
